The newest addition to our family of products is the Benefits Department (BD) web application. The system is designed to allow employees’ a secure web-based platform to look up their traditional and non-traditional benefits.
The two systems, Q4C & My HR Software, combine to create the static data that populates to create the BD employee platform for your business. When a broker runs a Q4C™ quote for the business, the employees and their plan selections are archived and merged with the My HR Software.
If you’re insurance broker uses the Q4C system this information will automatically be captured into the system. If this is not the case, the business’ HR person or a Business Assistant, LLC representative can reverse engineer your benefits into the system. This is not a difficult task, however, if Business Assistant, LLC does the setup or upload; there will be a setup fee to the employer.
Employees can access the system by going to www.benefitsdept.com and sign in using the following protocols; username is the employing company’s name and the password is the employee’s SS#. Once the employee is logged on they will be able to view all their group health insurance benefits, any health savings accounts (HSA), group life insurance, dental insurance, vision plan options, AFLAC policies, and any 401K or pension plans offered by the employer. They will also have access to all forms and plan descriptions to all their policies.
The employee’s personnel file will also be available to view by the employee, minus any documents or comments the HR person or business owner chooses to keep private. No I-9’s or Social Security numbers will be displayed online, and must be kept in a separate file for legal and security purposes.
